CANDELABRA (2024)

A candle is photographed as it begins to slowly burn down to its base. The image is used to replace the mirror that was originally part of the candle holder, thus creating a reflection of the candle’s past.

This work explores the idea of breaking down boundaries between the subject of the photo and the real-life elements used to display the image. The candle in the image was used to burn the frame and was then mounted to the candle holder of the frame once it burnt down.
